17/11/2005 - Taurs deserve nice wedding dresses too. The tailor is a robot modeled after an African Weaver Bird and covered by real feathers produced by its outer shell. Robotic tailors are needed for some peculiar commissions like hand-sewn fractals, which are frankly a pain in the rump for humans and for most anthros. The robots were shaped like birds because people didn't seem to appreciate furred robots as tailors - possibly they reminded of annoying hair found over clothes. Instead it was proved by a survey of 2199 that having a giant yellow bird deal with customers improved sales. There is also another tailorbot model, a giant Nephila spider, but it is only spotted in underground clothing shops.

Explored:

  • Uhm, well, making bridal gowns for taurs :-)
  • The coloring is so weird... the background was supposed to be in watercolor, but the experiment with a new kind of paper didn't work and it sucked so hideously that I had to cover it completely. Besides, I'm setting aside watercolors for a while now. I feel I'm abusing them and the fast coloring they allow instead of improving.
